Getting on our Feet
We are slowly getting back on our feet after the initial weeks with Sean. Learning a new routine for the whole family takes time, but that's what maternity leave is for. It's nice to have beautiful weather and days where I have a blank calendar page to fill up with whatever needs to be dealt with that day with the baby or the house, etc. Still, my to do list does get long and I have to be patient. It also helps so much that Ed is teaching part-time and is home quite a bit to assit with just everyday life.
The laundry and dishes feel like they multiply overnight in the dark! Jeez! Sometimes they feel like endless chores!
Sean is adapting to a routine really well and loves the baby sling. Sometimes it's the only thing that calms him down and helps him transition into sleep. Three cheers for the sling!
A neighbor brought over dinner for tonight, bless her. People have been so kind and generous to us. We are so blessed. We've got a thank you list a mile long and just put a dent in it. And those baby announcements...oh yeah.. I"ll need to get to those this week!
Over the weekend I did pot my annual flowers, though, so at least I can check that off my list.
I'm trying to blog regularly, but it's hard. I know things will even out over the next couple of months, though..
